The Tree Crops Development Authority (TCDA), under the leadership of its Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Andy Osei Okrah, has held its maiden Breast Cancer Awareness Month Campaign, aimed at educating and screening staff and management of the Authority.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Okrah underscored the need for collective responsibility in the fight against breast cancer. He emphasized the power of unity, awareness, and compassion in safeguarding lives. “Every small action, every shared message, every screening, and every show of empathy brings us closer to a future free from the fear of breast cancer,” Dr. Andy Osei Okrah, CEO, TCDA.

The event received strong medical backing from the Ghana Canada Medical Center, whose team provided both education and professional breast cancer screening services for participants.

The campaign also saw participation from the leadership of the Ghana Private Sector Competitiveness Programme (GPSCP II), led by Madam Juliana Ofori-Karikari, alongside TCDA staff and management, including virtual attendees.

Dr. Okrah noted that the initiative forms part of TCDA’s commitment to national wellness priorities and aligns with H.E. John Dramani Mahama’s “Resetting Health Agenda” (MahamaCares), which advocates for proactive health interventions across all sectors.

The successful maiden event sets the tone for TCDA’s continued efforts in promoting health awareness and supporting nationwide cancer prevention initiatives.
