REGISTRATION AND LICENSING OF CASHEW AGGREGATORS, TRADERS AND EXPORTERS

Tree Crops Development Authority (TCDA), established by the Tree Crops Development Authority Act, 2019 (Act 1010), is mandated to regulate and develop in a sustainable manner the production, processing, and trading of tree crops, namely cashew, rubber, coconut, oil palm, shea, and mango.

In accordance with Section 27 of Act 1010, a person or group of persons or a company engaged in the tree crops value chain shall register with the Authority as a practitioner within six months after the commencement of this Act.

In pursuit of this mandate and object of the Act, and in fulfilment of Section 27 of the Act, the Authority is registering and licensing all CASHEW AGGREGATORS, TRADERS, AND EXPORTERS for the 2024 crop season, starting from 1st November 2023.

The registration and licensing can be done 1. Digitally on our website: www.tcda.gov.gh 

Or 2. Physically at the following centres from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm each working day.

1. An Aggregator is a person or a company that buys RCN from producers/farmers for sale within the registered district.

2. A Trader is a person or a company who buys RCN from an Aggregator or buys processed cashew from a Processor for sale in-country.

3. An Exporter is a person or a company who buys RCN or processed cashew from an Aggregator, Trader, or processor for sale outside the country

Who We Are

The Tree Crops Development Authority(TCDA) is a body established by an Act of Parliament, the Tree Crops Development Authority Act 2019 (Act 1010,2019). TCDA is corporate with perpetual succession to regulate and develop in a sustainable environment; production, processing, and trading of six tree crops: Cashew, Shea, Mango, Coconut, rubber, and oil palm in Ghana.
