TCDA CEO assures stakeholders of gov’t’s commitment to develop the rubber sector

rubberAndy Osei Okrah, CEO of the Tree Crops Development Authority (TCDA), together with his dedicated management team, is working relentlessly to tackle the pressing challenges facing the rubber industry in the Western Region. On March 18, a productive open forum was held, bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders, including the Rubber Outgrowers and Agents Association, ANRAG executives, farmers, processors, producers, traders, and other value chain operators. This collaborative session focused on identifying key strategies to drive growth and enhance the efficiency of the rubber sector.
The forum highlighted important issues such as raw material shortages, lack of technical support, enforcement challenges, and poor road infrastructure to plantation sites. In response, CEO Andy Osei Okrah reaffirmed the Government's commitment to the industry’s development, emphasizing the establishment of regional and zonal offices to strengthen monitoring, supervision, and technical assistance.

This proactive approach demonstrates TCDA’s dedication to supporting stakeholders and advancing the sustainable growth of the rubber industry. Together, we continue working towards a brighter future for the sector.
