REGISTRATION AND LICENSING

OF RUBBER AGGREGATORS, TRADERS, PROCESSORS AND EXPORTERS

Tree Crops Development Authority (TCDA), established by the Tree Crops Development Authority Act, 2019 (Act 1010), is mandated to regulate and develop in a sustainable manner the production, processing, and trading of tree crops, namely cashew, rubber, coconut, oil palm, shea, and mango.

In accordance with Section 27 of Act 1010, a person or group of persons or a company engaged in the tree crops value chain shall register with the Authority as a practitioner within six months after the commencement of this Act.

In pursuit of this mandate and object of the Act, and in fulfilment of Section 27 of the Act, the Authority has contracted SKT AEROSHUTTER to register and license the following RUBBER ACTORS on behalf of TCDA, starting from Wednesday 19th June 2024:

1. AGGREGATORS;

2. TRADERS;

3. PROCESSORS;

4. EXPORTERS OF TSR;

5. EXPORTERS OF RAW RUBBER.

The registration and licensing can be done: 1. Digitally through www.tcda.gov.gh / https://tcda.sktlive.com ;                 

Or, physically at the following centres from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm each working day.

1. An Aggregator is an individual or a group of individuals or a company that purchases raw rubber (cup lumps) directly from farmers in a defined district.

2. A Trader is an individual or a group of individuals or a company that purchases raw rubber (cup lumps), or processed cup lumps (Technically Specified Rubber-TSR) from farmers or processors across districts or regions.

3. A Processor is an individual or a group of individuals or a company that adds value to raw rubber (cup lumps), by changing it to a Technically Specified Rubber (TSR).

3. An Exporter of TSR is an individual or a group of individuals or a company that purchases TSR from a Processor for sale outside the country; or a Processor who sells his/her own TSR outside the country.

The Tree Crops Development Authority(TCDA) is a body established by an Act of Parliament, the Tree Crops Development Authority Act 2019 (Act 1010,2019). TCDA is corporate with perpetual succession to regulate and develop in a sustainable environment; production, processing, and trading of six tree crops: Cashew, Shea, Mango, Coconut, rubber, and oil palm in Ghana.
